Downloading Torrents

Are you a pirate? This is what separates the men from the boys TORRENTS! Sure anyone can download a song on itunes, but can you grab movies that are not even in theatres yet? Why pay some sketchy guy for a bootleg version of a movie that you can just get yourself! Now the majority of torrents are not legal.

You need to know this before you walk down this slippery slope. A good rule of thumb is if its available to buy and you're getting it for free... its illegal. So here's how to do it!

If you’re new at this I guarantee you’re going to get a virus. However, once you master the tricks of the trade you’ll be golden.

How they work is a bunch of people all over the world have the file that you want. These people are called seeders.

When you download these files you’re a leecher, sucking bits of the file from each of the seeders.

To increase your download speed, look for files that have more seeds than leeches. You’re going to need a program to download these files and a good one is BitTorrent. Again, its free. Just follow the instructions from the site on installing the program.

A good site to download your precious files is ThePirateBay.org. Here is their “help” section that I recommend you read before downloading anything. http://thepiratebay.org/help.

So, to recap...

• You need BitTorrent to be able to download the files that are located throughout the internet and available at ThePirateBay.org.
  
  
• Once you get BitTorrent working, now go to ThePirateBay.org and type in something that you want.
  
  
• Scan through till you see the one with the right amount of seeders/leechers (usually want more seeders than leachers).
  
  
• Be sure to read the comments posted by the other users and make sure that what ever it is that you're downoading is safe.

Be very careful make sure you follow instructions and do your research before hand. Oh yea, this is illegal...
